Howard Steinberg

A New York City-based entrepreneur, writer, mentor, and advocate.

Howard Steinberg is a New York City-based entrepreneur, writer, mentor, and advocate. The son of Holocaust survivors, Steinberg was the solo founder of three companies before dedicating himself to exploring personal and spiritual growth. He has been a passionate voice for improved diabetes care and supply access.

He finds joy in walking his dog Tico through Greenwich Village, kayaking off the Connecticut shoreline, and cherishes time with his three daughters and two beautiful granddaughters.

Steinberg is a graduate of both the undergraduate and graduate business schools at New York University.

The Journey

For most of his life, stillness eluded him. His mind was a relentless scanning machine, forever searching for what was wrong or what came next — but rarely present to the joy of the moment.

It took a virtual lifetime to recognize that the exterior version of himself — shaped by professional ambition, family expectation, and survival instinct — was not the authentic self. Triggered by divorce, professional loss, and a deep inner emptiness, he began the search that became Confessions of a Problem Seeker.

Most of us drift through life, politely answering “How are you?” while never pausing to ask ourselves the harder question: who am I beneath this surface? Howard shares his path with unusual honesty so others might feel less alone on theirs.

The Work

Howard speaks to audiences about finding authentic self, navigating generational trauma, the reality of living with Type 1 diabetes for over 55 years, the loneliness of entrepreneurship, and the role psychedelics played in his own healing. His work has been featured on KATU, Authority Magazine, Readers’ Favorite, and Midwest Book Review, among others.
